The New Salem Lincoln League is proud to announce that we have secured grant funds to install a new, custom designed playground across from the New Salem Campground. In partnership with IDNR, we are hoping to break ground on the new equipment in 2027.

That being said, this is a costly endeavor. The grant funds only take us so far. That’s where you, the community, come in. We invite YOU to be a part of this history!

We are so excited to offer: ONE OF A KIND COMMEMORATIVE ENGRAVED BRICKS.

Once engraved, these bricks will be used in the landscaping paths all around the new playground for all to see and enjoy. These bricks are hand-made, sourced from a veteran owned and operated brick making business in Tennessee. They are freighted right to Springfield, IL, where Dane of Buckram and Brim engraves them one at a time.

Whether you’re a long-time resident, a generous donor, a local business sponsor, or simply someone who loves New Salem, this is your chance to leave your mark. Each brick is a statement of support, a gesture of connection, and a symbol of belonging.
